Social Worker
I am so excited to be a part of the Muskegon Christian and Grand Haven Christian communities. I love to see students grow and flourish socially and emotionally. I can’t wait to work alongside staff to help students gain social and emotional skills, so they can be the best learners they can be.
I grew up in Holland, MI where I attended West Ottawa Public Schools. I gained my Bachelors degree in social work from Western Michigan University and went on to get my Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan – Go Blue! I started my career as a school social worker for Wayland Union Schools. After 7 years of working for Wayland Schools, I stayed home with my kids for a while and then began working for Grand Haven Public Schools. God opened the opportunity for my family and I to be part of the Christian schools last spring and we are so thankful.
I currently live in Grand Haven with my my husband, Zach, and 3 children, Max, Lola, and Zeke. We are in the thick of it, but they bring us so much fun and joy.
