Hi! My name is Kate and the students call me Miss Kate. My heart is full when I work with children and I consider it a sacred privilege to support them through the joys and challenges of the day. I love that we sing a lot together at MCS, especially about God’s deep love for us. Before MCS, I received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Calvin College and worked as a RN in mental health and school settings. My work as a school nurse planted in me a desire to be a teacher. My husband, Joseph and I moved to Muskegon in 2020 with our two girls who are part of the MCS Spanish Immersion program. We are in awe of all the natural beauty of West Michigan and are grateful to be a part of this community.
