Staff

My name is Sara Cowan. I’m from Ohio and I previously taught at Ridgewood Local Schools in Ohio as a high school social studies teacher. I also taught in Fort Wayne Community Schools and The Crossing School of Business and Entrepreneurship both in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  I earned my Bachelor’s in History from Muskingum University in New Concord, OH and a Master’s in Social Sciences from Ohio University in Athens.

Our son is a student at WMC and our youngest is right here at MCS. We immediately fell in love with MCS when we joined as parents back in 2020 and couldn’t imagine our kids going anywhere else. My husband Shaine and I have been married 20 years and his career has taken us around the Midwest and as far away as Florida. But we love west Michigan and have made this our new home.  We are forever thankful that the Lord brought us to this community.
