Mrs. Stephanie Britton

Student Advocate

Hello! I’m Stephanie Britton and I feel so blessed to be working here at Muskegon Christian School as the Student Advocate. I can genuinely say that I’m excited to go to work every day and I love the people I work with, both students and staff! I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of MCS and have loved seeing students continue to grow into who God created them to be. I’m really passionate about walking alongside kids and encouraging them, challenging them, and showing God’s love and grace to them as they navigate these early learning years.
I grew up in central Illinois and got my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Illinois. I then moved up to the Chicago suburbs and got my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, which is also where I met my wonderful husband. Out of grad school, I worked in social work and as a therapist in private practice before choosing to stay home with my babies until just recently. My husband is a pastor and we’ve lived in a variety of places throughout the United States before God called us here to Muskegon in 2016. I never would have expected to end up back in the Midwest, but God has blessed us immensely and I really love living in West Michigan – it’s such a hidden gem of the world! My husband and I have three beautiful young daughters (inside and out) and goodness – they keep us on our toes! We also have a lovable shaggy labradoodle that thinks she deserves even more attention than our actual children.

Favorite Verse:

Not only so, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character; and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
