Mrs. Diane Lysiak
Art Teacher
Hello, my name is Diane Lysiak and I have been the Art teacher at MCS since 2019. I earned both my Bachelor and Masters degrees from Grand Valley State University. Prior to coming to MCS I was a classroom teacher for over 25 years, teaching 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades. I also spent a couple of years working as a Reading and Math Interventionist for kindergarten through fifth grade.
I have enjoyed all of my different teaching experiences, but teaching Art is my favorite! I love being creative! Having the opportunity to share my love of art with children while helping them discover and express their creativity is so rewarding!

I AM REALLY GOOD AT GETTING CRANKY BABIES TO SLEEP. I’M ALSO GOOD AT GIVING CRANKY CATS BATHS… BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME!
